THE SKIPPER.

Didac is one of the most active oceanic navigators of his generation. This firefighter from Barcelona has been accumulating nautical achievements for the last decade, including crossing the Atlantic alone in the Mini Transat and going around the world with a two-person crew, in the Barcelona World Race.

In 2016, he became the second Spaniard to finish the Vendée Globe, the first in over 25 years. Despite the lack of funds and the lightning strike that damaged the ship's electrical components, Didac finished the race in 14th position.

THE BOAT.

Kingfisher.png

Our beloved Kingfisher is the most emblematic ship of the IMOCA fleet.

It has completed five world tours - two of them with Didac as skipper. It is also famous for having been the vessel with which Ellen McArthur almost won the Vendée Globe in 2000, aged 26.

Designed by R. Humphreys and Merfyn Orwen and built in New Zealand, Kingfisher is, above all, a reliable ship.
