THE PROJECT

ONE PLANET ONE OCEAN.

For Didac Costa, the Vendée Globe 2020 is not only a personal challenge but an opportunity to inspire sea lovers to commit to sustainability and social inclusion.

This is why, on the 2016 edition of the Vendée Globe and his previous Barcelona World Race, Didac enlisted the support of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC-UNESCO) and became the flagship boat of their campaign “One Planet, One Ocean.”

We aim to continue leading by example, inviting scientists to use the ship as a platform for environmental research. We will also conduct educational activities with various groups, including students in vocational training, marginalized groups and people with diverse abilities.

LEADERSHIP

MADE IN BARCELONA

We will improve our knowledge of the oceans through research and technological innovation.

Through public events and educational activities, we will aim to bring the sea to people who often do not have access to the nautical world.

The objective of the project is to demonstrate how to put these values into practice and help everyone who wants to follow our initiative.

We are proud to be able to develop the project in Barcelona and we want to promote its values and
prestigious nautical tradition around the world.
